The Plateau International Film Festival is a non-profit and non-governmental event put together by a team of dedicated creatives organization dedicated to promoting independent cinema and providing a platform for filmmakers from all over the world to showcase and celebrate their films. Our mission is to showcase the best of independent cinema, foster a community of filmmakers and film enthusiasts, and provide educational resources to support the growth of the film industry.

7th Edition PIFF

The 2023 Plateau International Film Festival #thecomeback, with the Theme: Film and Human Right projects to be a street film Festival (taking the films to the people) which will take Place in three (3) significant locations on the streets of Plateau state Nigeria. The 3day event aim to showcase film testament to the artistry and cultural significance of different genre. These Festival captures the essence of the streets and the people who inhabit them, providing a unique perspective on urban life and culture. From the raw energy of art to the soulful sounds of street musicians, the Plateau International Film Festival 2023 showcases the films, creativity, art and diversity of street culture.

The Street Film Festival is a community event that showcases independent films and encourages participation from local residents. The festival takes place outdoors, creating a unique and immersive experience for attendees.

The Plateau International Film Festival was founded in 2009 by Debrah Jalmet, an enthusiast’s passionate film maker with the goal of promoting independent cinema and showcasing the work of emerging filmmakers from around the world. Since its inception, PIFF has successfully hosted 6 editions and the festival has grown in size and prestige, attracting top talent and industry professionals from across the globe.
